The Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) is pleased to acknowledge the Ontario government’s continued investment in local healthcare infrastructure, with the announcement that BCHS will receive an additional $12.5 million planning grant to plan on a greenfield site.
The voices of patients and families can be found in the Brant Community Healthcare System’s new five-year strategic plan, say two Brantford residents who assisted with the project.

In recognition of National Physicians' Day on May 1st, Anne Boake, Co-Op Student, Medical Affairs, Assumption College Secondary School, Brantford, spent a day in the Brant Community Healthcare System Radiology Department shadowing a few radiologists.
Dr. Suraj Sharma joined Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) as a gastroenterologist eight years ago, bringing a deep passion for medicine, people, and community connection. For Dr. Sharma, inclusion isn't a checklist or a one-time initiative. Instead, it's a mindset woven into how we treat each other daily. "Feeling like you belong at work often depends on whether your culture, identity, and values are respected," he explains.
