This week is the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) annual Mental Health Week, which looks to shift attitudes and perceptions about mental health and promote behaviours and attitudes that foster well-being and support good mental health. This year, the campaign focuses on #MY STORY and shines a spotlight on community mental health care programs, communities and voices while showcasing the importance of securing universal mental health care.
On May 1, 2023, Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) will be shifting from a Universal Masking Policy to a Mask-Friendly Policy.

A recent expansion of service at the Brantford General Hospital diagnostic imaging department is already proving to be successful in providing more care for patients closer to home and with shorter wait times for their procedures.
This past December, Richard Maude underwent shoulder surgery at the Brantford General Hospital, making him one of the first patients in Canada to undergo the surgery utilizing mixed reality. He was released from the hospital later that same day.
