On August 13, 2025, Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) reached a significant and transformative milestone with the opening of the new Andersen Ambulatory Assessment Area – Zone 7 at Brantford General Hospital (BGH).
As Patient Experience Specialist, Laura feels as though her role already embodies qualities of leadership that inspire her. But as a lifelong learner, she also recognized how a former leader led with a quiet strength that was both supportive and independent.

When Bhrigu Bagga left Delhi and moved to Canada, he came alone. No family waiting, no job lined up, no certainty about what would follow. Wanting to make a difference and do work that matters, he eventually found himself in public service, healthcare in particular.
With the support of a $12.5 million planning grant from the Province of Ontario, BCHS is setting the foundation for a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility. Robert Hofmann, our new Vice President of Redevelopment, brings the experience, passion, and leadership to help make it a reality.
For Darren, belonging isn’t about fitting in—it’s about being seen as a whole person. Professionally, he has a strong clinical and technical expertise in healthcare; personally, his journey is shaped by his Trinidadian heritage and guided by his spiritual values.
Driven by the desire to make healthcare systems better for both patients and providers, Anastasiya saw the Emerging Leaders Program as an opportunity to better understand healthcare and reflect on her own leadership style.

The Ontario government is investing an additional $12.5 million to support the planning and construction of a new Brant Community Healthcare System hospital, connecting more patients and families in Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River and surrounding communities to more convenient, high-quality care close to home.
