Volunteer Application

Step 1: Apply to volunteer

If you wish to apply for a volunteer role in our of our hospital departments or units please use our general volunteer application link.

If you are interested in being a Patient and Family Advisor or a member of our Youth Mental Health Advisory Committee (Applications Open Spring 2026) please use our Patient & Family Advisor or Youth Mental Health Advisory application.

Step 2: References

After we receive your application form we will contact you regarding next steps, including references and an interview.

Step 3: Attend interview.

Please bring the completed forms to the interview.

Step 4: Complete health review and police check

We will give health review forms at the interview for you to take to your own doctor or clinic. We also provide a letter for the police check required for the position. Police checks are not required for those under 18 years old.

Step 5: Complete orientation

  • Complete online orientation modules
  • Attend in-person orientation

Step 6: Submit all paperwork

We will be in touch to arrange your placement and training once you receive clearance to start.

Step 7: Start volunteering

On your first shift, you will get a uniform and ID badge. An experienced volunteer or a staff member will train you.
