Meet Our Recruitment Team

Ashleigh Parkin

Ashleigh Parkin

Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Ashleigh Parkin has been a recruiter for 12 years, with the last 3 spent at BCHS. As the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, she recruits for the organization and leads projects like the New Grad Initiative and the Clinical Externs. She is also responsible for providing support to the recruitment team on day to day issues.  Ashleigh loves recruiting because she gets to be the one to make someone’s day; throughout her career she has facilitated thousands of employer/employee relationships. She can usually be found working on her fixer upper house here in Brantford with her husband, 4 year old son and two cats, Luna and Mister Nibbles.

Katrina Warren

She subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University as well as a certificate in Addiction Education from McMaster University. She has worked in healthcare for the past 10 years in various roles such as Research Assistant, Course Instructor, Patient Intake Worker, Withdrawal Management Worker, and Addiction Counsellor. Katrina started at BCHS in January 2022 as a Junior Recruiter and was promoted to Recruiter in April 2022. Katrina brings her wealth of experience with people and her role as a front line worker to her position, adding a unique perspective to the candidate experience. In her spare time Katrina enjoys reading, hiking, biking and doing DIY projects.

Jacklyn Appleby

Jacklyn Appleby

Recruiter

Jacklyn (soon to be Arruda!) Appleby has come full circle at the hospital- she was born at the Brantford General Hospital and is now one of their newest recruiters! Jacklyn started her career as a Personal Support Worker, which gave her great experience as she continued her education, earning a degree in Health Administration from Laurier and a Post-Grad in Community and Social Service Management. Jacklyn transitioned from PSW to Scheduling manager to Recruiter, and has spent the  past 8 years in various settings such as LTC, retirement, community programs, and now the BCHS starting in January 2022. If she is not recruiting, you can probably find her spending time up north with her dog Rocky and fiancé Jake.
