Jessica Keatings
Recruiter
Jessica Keatings was born in London, Ontario but raised in Woodstock where she lives now with her two children, Emma and George. She started her career as a Personal Support Worker and then completed her diploma in Medical Office Administration from Fanshawe College and subsequently finished the advanced diploma in Human Resources. Jessica is now also a full-time student working towards her bachelor's degree in human resources. She has experience working in both long-term care as well as other hospitals as a PSW then a Unit Clerk and is now a recruiter. Jessica started her career at Brant Community Healthcare System in September 2022 bringing with her extensive customer service experience, as well as her diverse healthcare experiences. When not recruiting you are likely to find Jessica hanging out with her young kids or reading.
Katrina Warren
Recruiter
Katrina Warren was born in Cambridge and raised in Guelph. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Youth Studies. She subsequently obtained a Master’s Degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University as well as a certificate in Addiction Education from McMaster University. She has worked in healthcare for the past 10 years in various roles such as Research Assistant, Course Instructor, Patient Intake Worker, Withdrawal Management Worker, and Addiction Counsellor. Katrina started at BCHS in January 2022 as a Junior Recruiter and was promoted to Recruiter in April 2022. Katrina brings her wealth of experience with people and her role as a front line worker to her position, adding a unique perspective to the candidate experience. In her spare time Katrina enjoys reading, hiking, biking and doing DIY projects.
Jacklyn Appleby
Recruiter
Jacklyn Appleby has come full circle at the hospital- she was born at the Brantford General Hospital and is now a Recruiter! Jacklyn started her career as a Personal Support Worker, which gave her great experience as she continued her education, earning a degree in Health Administration from Laurier and a Post-Grad in Community and Social Service Management. Jacklyn transitioned from PSW to Scheduling manager to Recruiter, and has spent the past 8 years in various settings such as LTC, retirement, community programs, and now the BCHS starting in January 2022. If she is not recruiting, you can probably find her spending time up north with her family!
Michelle Day
Recruiter
Michelle Day is one of our newest Recruiters, she started her career in healthcare as a Pharmacy assistant within an Addictions Clinic. Specializing in mental health and addiction she was trained as the office coordinator while obtaining her Medical Office Assistant diploma. She worked within addictions and mental health for 8 years, then began her journey at the Brant Community Healthcare System in 2019 with the Environmental Service department. After that she transferred to Bed Allocation and cross trained as a Unit Clerk. In January of 2022, Michelle joined the Human Resource team as the HR assistant. Michelle is currently obtaining her Human Resource diploma, and was recently promoted to Recruiter. In her spare time you can find Michelle at the hockey rink with her three boys or exploring a new trail!
