Parking

Brantford General Hospital

For the safety of everyone, please ensure that you park in marked designated spots only. Please avoid parking in fire routes and non-designated spaces as cars that are parked inappropriately may be ticketed. Thank you for your cooperation!

For patients and visitors, a parking ticket is printed upon entrance to any hospital parking lot. This ticket will need to be paid for before exiting the parking lot.

Patients and visitors will be able to pay for parking at pay stations located conveniently at all exits to the hospital (A-Wing exit, D-Wing exit, E-Wing exit and inside the Emergency Department). The pay stations accept cash or credit card. Additionally, you may pay with credit card only at any exit gate.

PLEASE NOTE: A price increase in parking rates/passes will take effect on December 31, 2020. See below for these updated rates.

Rates

  • 20 minutes or less - FREE
  • 21-29 minutes - $3.10
  • 30-59 minutes - $5.10
  • 1 hour – 1 hour 29 minutes - $7.10
  • 1 hour 30 minutes - 47 hours 59 minutes - $9.90
  • 48 hours or more - $20.40

Passes

  • Daily Pass - $12.20
  • Weekly Pass - $40.80
  • Monthly Pass - $68.80
  • All passes have unlimited in/out privileges.
  • Can be purchased 24/7 at any pay stations conveniently located at all exits to the hospital (A-Wing exit, D-Wing exit, E-Wing exit and inside the Emergency Department).

Accessibility Parking

The Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) is committed to providing barrier-free access for all persons to its environments, programs and services. We are continually working to make our space more accessible and modernize our physical space to meet, and exceed, the accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Regulations including the Accessibility Standards for Customer Service.

Designated parking spaces for persons with disabilities are available in the “C Lot” located on Terrace Hill Street Across from Elizabeth Street.

Emergency Department has two 20-minute free parking spaces for persons with disabilities.

Our Parking Garage (located off Elizabeth Street) nearest our D-Wing entrance, has elevator access on each level of our 5 tiers to ensure easy accessibility to our D-wing entrance.

There is a canopy covering the A-wing Entrance located at the corner of Terrace Hill Street and Elizabeth Street, this serves as a ‘drop off' zone, however parking in this zone is not permitted.

The Willett

For patients and visitors, there is a flat rate is set at the Willett. The entrance to the parking lot is located on Capron Street.

There are two 10-minute free parking spaces located near the front entrance of the Willett, accessible on Capron Street.

There is a canopy covering the entrance accessible on Capron Street. This serves as a ‘drop off' zone, however parking in this zone is not permitted.

Patients and visitors are able to pay for parking by either paying with exact change only at the exit gate, or by purchasing a token from registration with debit or credit cards only. Registration is conveniently located at the main entrance.

*Change can be made at registration, however bills exceeding $20 will not be accepted.

BCHS reinvests all funds generated into the maintenance of the parking lots, capital equipment and quality services support patient care. The annual parking revenues for 2018/19 were $1,615,028.
