The BCHS Foundation is committed to raising critical funds to support the top priority needs of the Brantford General Hospital and the Willett Urgent Care Centre.
With the support of a $12.5 million planning grant from the Province of Ontario, BCHS is setting the foundation for a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility. Robert Hofmann, our new Vice President of Redevelopment, brings the experience, passion, and leadership to help make it a reality.
Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) recorded more than 11,300 oncology-related visits last year, reflecting the growing demand for cancer care in the region.
In 2022, BCHS introduced the Indigenous health service (IHS). This includes a full-time Indigenous patient navigator, who helps Indigenous patients through the western healthcare system and assists with community and in-house resources.

The Volunteer Cuddler Program, which began as a pilot in July 2024, is more than just holding babies, it’s a lifeline for infants, families, and hospital staff alike.

To enhance supports for newborns, BGH has introduced Eat, Sleep, Console – a program that transitions away from the standard pharmacological treatment to a model of care which prioritizes parental involvement.
Dr. Jeff Manning and nurse Mary Lynn Wheat worked side by side for over 30 years, building a partnership rooted in care and understanding. Inspired by her grandmother, Mary Lynn knew she wanted to be a nurse from a young age and went on to serve patients for 50 years in various roles.
Navigating a hospital visit can be stressful, especially when English isn’t your first language. To address this challenge, the Brant Community Healthcare System (Brantford General Hospital and The Willett, Paris) have recently introduced Voyce, a live translation service available 24/7.
In the past few months, many milestones of the emergency department renovation project have been reached. These include the recent reopening of Terrace Hill Street to the public, the opening of a new emergency department walk-in entrance, and a new external entrance for dialysis clinic patients.
