Caring For People in All of Life’s Seasons

At Brant Community Healthcare System, we recognize that religious, cultural, and spiritual care can have a profound impact on a patient’s healing journey.
Matthew Mutamiri, Clinical Manager of Inpatient Mental Health, Addictions, and Spiritual Care, leads a dedicated team of spiritual care practitioners, ensuring every patient has access to faith-based or spiritual support.
“Some people are spiritually anchored, while others may have drifted from their faith. When they face a health crisis, they want someone to meet and talk with,” says Mutamiri.
Supported by partner faith leaders and Indigenous patient navigators, the Spiritual Care team provides compassionate, multifaith support – offering comfort and guidance when it’s needed most.
