Indigenous Inspired Patient Meals Developed Through Community Collaboration

BCHS was honoured to host Chef Rick Powless of Oneida of Thames First Nations as part of a new collaboration with Compass One Group to develop patient meals inspired by local Indigenous communities.
A limited menu of Indigenous patient meals is set to launch later this month with a full menu anticipated for Fall 2026.
This work reflects our commitment to meaningful engagement, and we remain open to receiving ongoing input from the Six Nations’ culinary community on bettering the Indigenous/First Nation patient experience.
