Healthcare system receives "exemplary standing" from Accreditation Canada

Brant Community Healthcare System has received the highest possible ranking from a national accrediting organization.

Accreditation Canada awarded the healthcare system ‘Accredited with Exemplary standing” following an assessment of its policies and procedures that took place Nov. 14 to 17.

The healthcare system, which operates Brantford General Hospital and the Willett Urgent Care Centre in Paris, met all required organizational practices. It also achieved a 99.5 per cent compliance with all accredited standards.

Erin Sleeth, interim president and CEO of the healthcare system, called the achievement “tremendous” and said it demonstrates the healthcare system’s commitment to providing safe, high-quality patient care.
