Diegel Becomes Board Chair of Brant Community Healthcare System

In June, Dave Diegel became the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) that operates the Brantford General Hospital and the Willett Hospital in Paris.

In 1991, Diegel began his career as a program director with Brantford Red Cross before becoming a health planner with the Grand River District Health Council. Throughout his professional career, Diegel has grown an expertise in provincial and local healthcare, and was an obvious fit to serve on the Board of Directors of the Brant Community Healthcare System.

Seven years ago, he joined.

“We need to respond to the changes in Brantford, Brant County, Six Nations of the Grand River, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation,” Diegel said.

“Our priorities include completing the Emergency Department Renovation Improvement Project and working with the Ministry of Health to get the necessary support to advance the redevelopment project for both the Brantford General Hospital and The Willett Hospital Sites.”
