BGH program provides 'incredible' experience to nursing students
Clinical externships offer a unique learning opportunity and partnership for nursing students to gain valuable experience in a hospital setting.
“I work with the students to help them develop their nursing career and assist them as they continue their schooling. By the time they graduate, both the hospital and the students know each other well and can lead to full-time employment" says Mandy Lindsay, clinical extern program co-ordinator.
"The experience I gained was incredible and the relationship with everyone was invaluable. Nursing requires confidence. BGH helped ensure my success as a nurse" shares Michelle Demeter, former clinical extern and now full-time nurse in the ICU.
