In healthcare, clinical research is associated with large teaching hospitals. However, the Brantford General Hospital has quietly become a leader in community-based clinical care research and is now recognized throughout Canada.

In June, Dave Diegel became the Chair of the Board of Directors of the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) that operates the Brantford General Hospital and the Willett Hospital in Paris.

Ankie Werdekker has been a registered nurse for over 35 years primarily working in the Emergency Department at the Brantford General Hospital. As a member of the volunteer medical charity, Team Broken Earth, she recently returned from her 8th mission back in June.
