Lab Process Notes	RENIN SUPINE Collect in the morning before 10:00 a.m. Minimum time before collection in SUPINE position (lying down) is 30 minutes. RENIN UPRIGHT Collect in the morning before 10:00 a.m. Please provide the following information: TIME UPRIGHT - the number of hours since the patient arose? (to nearest 0.5 hr). Minimum time before collection in UPRIGHT position (standing, walking or sitting) is 2 hours. If patient has been standing or walking, have them sit for 5-15 minutes before collection. Renin following Saline Suppression test ( or other confirmatory test): Collect sample at the end of the procedure. This sample can be collected at any time of the day. Aldosterone / Renin Ratio Collect samples in the morning before 10:00am Minimum time before collection in UPRIGHT position (standing, walking or sitting) is 2 hours.
