Tube must be at least 2/3 full to capacity or rejected. Use low volume collection tubes (2 ml) or 0.5 mL collected in a balanced heparin syringe (butterfly attachment) for pediatrics or difficult draws.
Do not open tube as it is critical the vacuum not be disrupted If possible do not use a tourniquet during collection |
