Morphological examination of stained thick and thin film preparations, speciation and calculation of parasitemia level (%). PHL - microscopic confirmation & PCR molecular species identification. Filaria: Smears should be prepared immediately within 1 hour of specimen collection. Morphological examination of stained thick and thin film preparations. PHL - microscopic confirmation & Filariasis serology testing. Anaplasmosis: PHL - EDTA whole blood sent to PHL for confirmatory PCR testing. |
