Non-heparinized plasma (patients not receiving heparin) should be tested within 4 hours of specimen collection. Plasma containing unfractionated heparin should be centrifuged within 1 hour of specimen collection, stored at room temperature and tested within 4 hours. |
| Storage and Transport |
Store unopened tube at 18-24°C for up to 4 hours. Platelet poor plasma may be aliquoted and frozen at < -20°C for up to 2 weeks. |
