Educate: Putting Learning into Practice at BCHS

To support our commitment to continuous improvement and growth, we have developed a comprehensive training framework that offers both digital and in-person training options, ensuring accessibility and flexibility for all staff.

As part of our “Educate” model, we have leveraged key celebration events like Black History Month to facilitate meaningful discussions and share lived experiences through panel discussions. These events offer staff opportunities to engage in conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion, enriching our workplace culture.

Additionally, we’ve developed train-the-trainer workshops that complement our E-learning modules. These workshops were successfully piloted with groups such as the Emerging Leaders Network and Nurse's Quality Council, ensuring our training is impactful, sustainable, and scalable across the organization. We have also hosted workshops with our Leadership Development Institute.

Through these efforts, we continue to prioritize education and engagement, empowering our team to foster a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone at BCHS.

At BCHS, we are committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and education. We believe that providing the right tools and resources is essential to supporting the growth of our staff and improving patient care.

As part of our dedication to inclusivity, we’ve developed resources to support both our staff and the communities we serve. For example, during Ramadan, we provided a comprehensive Ramadan Guide to assist our organization in patient care and to support our Muslim colleagues who were observing the fast. This guide ensured that their needs were met with respect, understanding, and care during this important period.
