Temporary Part-Time RPN, Inpatient Mental Health

Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the Mental Health and Addiction Service Program and must meet the following criteria:
Education Requirements
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current B.C.L.S. Certificate
- Non-violent crisis intervention certificate required
- CBT & Interpersonal Theory training preferred
Mandatory Qualifications
- Current (2 years) experience in Mental Health Nursing
Mandatory Competencies
- Clinical competence and commitment to quality patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Working knowledge of the Transtheoretical Model
- Ability to provide integrated service to individuals with Concurrent Disorders
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work in a Primary Care with Affiliates Model of Care
- Excellent patient assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and experience in patient education
- Member of RPNO an asset
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to function within your full scope of practice as a RPN
- Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
