POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Clinical Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Services, the successful applicant will be responsible for comprehensive nursing care in the Mental Health and Addiction Service Program and must meet the following criteria:
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current B.C.L.S. Certificate
- Non-violent crisis intervention certificate required
- CBT & Interpersonal Theory training preferred
- Current experience in Mental Health Nursing
MANDATORY COMPETENCIES:
- Clinical competence and commitment to quality patient care
- Excellent communication or interpersonal skills
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Working knowledge of the Trans theoretical Model
- Ability to provide integrated service to individuals with Concurrent Disorders
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to work in a Primary Care with Affiliates Model of Care
- Excellent patient assessment skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and experience in patient education
- Excellent attendance record
- Excellent organizational skills
- Reliable individual with excellent attendance record and able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays
