COVID-19 Online Scheduling

How to Book an Appointment Online for your COVID-19 Test

Who is eligible for testing?

The Government of Ontario has updated the COVID-19 testing guidelines for assessment centres across the province. Updated criteria for COVID-19 testing is as follows:

PCR and rapid testing is now limited to symptomatic people:

  • Seeking emergency medical care;
  • Who are inpatients/outpatients/residents at hospitals and long-term care facilities;
  • Who work in patient-facing roles, or are staff, volunteers, essential care providers, or visitors in hospitals and congregate-living settings;
  • And who are homeless or under housed.

PCR and rapid testing is also limited to:

  • Symptomatic elementary and secondary school students and education staff who have received a PCR self-collection kit through their school;
  • Symptomatic/asymptomatic people from First Nation, Inuit and Metis communities and individuals travelling into these communities for work;
  • Symptomatic/asymptomatic people on admission or transfer to or from hospitals or congregate living settings;
  • High risk contacts and symptomatic/asymptomatic people in the context of confirmed or suspected outbreaks in highest risk settings as directed by the local public health unit;
  • Individuals, and one accompanying caregiver, with written prior approval for out-of-country medical services from the OHIP general manager;
  • Asymptomatic testing in high-risk settings as per provincial guidance and/or directives, or as directed by public health units.

If you meet any one of the circumstances listed above, you may proceed to book an appointment at the Brant Community Healthcare System COVID-19 Assessment Centre. See section below for details.

Please note: We do not offer COVID-19 testing for travel, including domestic and international trips. This change is based on the updated guidance from the Government of Ontario.
