Urgent Care Centre
at The Willett

The Urgent Care Centre at The Willett is a specialized department for persons suffering from medical problems or injuries, or who require medical attention when their family physician's office is closed.

When to come to the Willett Urgent Care Centre

•  Coughs, colds, minor lacerations, strains and sprains are common ailments treated at the urgent care centre
•  If it is not an emergency but you cannot wait to see your family physician

The Urgent Care Centre does not routinely renew prescriptions.

Care is provided by registered nurses and a group of physicians who provide coverage for the hours at Urgent Care.

The Urgent Care Centre is not an Emergency department. We are not equipped to handle major trauma, obstetrical problems or emergencies.

Please Note*** If at all possible, please call your family physician before coming to the Urgent Care Centre. If your situation is life threatening, go straight to The Brantford General Hospital.

The Willett Urgent Care Centre is not an Emergency Department. If it is an emergency, call 911 or proceed directly to the Brantford General Emergency Department.

How are patients seen at the Urgent Care Centre?

 Patients and their treatment are categorized according to their level of severity.

Either the on-call doctor or your family physician may ask you to make an appointment to be seen at his/her office, or schedule a return visit for you in the Urgent Care Centre later.

Prepare for your Urgent Care Visit

	If possible, call ahead so that we can make appropriate preparations.
	Bring a list of medications and any known allergies with you to the hospital.
	Never delay treatment if you feel your medical needs are urgent.
	If your condition changes while you are waiting, be sure to let our staff know.
