When To Come To Emergency
Our peak hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and the weekends and holidays are especially busy.
For this reason, it is advisable that you contact your family physician for the treatment of non-urgent problems. Your family doctor knows your overall health profile, the medications you take, your occupation and social situation.
It's an emergency when:
- you are experiencing pains or tightness in the chest
- you have severe pain
- you have continuous bleeding
- you are choking or having difficulty breathing
- you may have been poisoned by chemicals, food or medication
- you have a broken bone or a wound that requires stitches
- you have sudden, severe headaches, vision problems, sudden weakness, numbness and/or tingling in the face, arm or leg
- you have trouble speaking or dizziness
- your child has diarrhea and vomiting and won't eat or drink
- your baby under six months has a fever over 38.5 C or 101 F.
