Rooms

Every room is air conditioned, with wheelchair accessible washrooms, automatic beds with over-bed light, nurse call button, personal bulletin boards, private cabinets and privacy curtains. The staff encourage personal and homey touches in the rooms. Personal TVs and phones are available. Your caregiver will be pleased to provide you with more information.

Outings and Seasonal Celebrations

Weekly outings are very popular. It is not uncommon for a group of patients to journey to a local mall, garden centre, or a dining establishment for change of scenery, fun and socialization. While at the mall, staff, family members and volunteers escort the residents as they go shopping, eat at the food court or just browse the displays and do some window shopping.

When it comes to special occasions, the staff at love to do it right. They serve up traditional dinners complete with all the trimmings. It is served by volunteers and staff in an elegant style complete with live dinner music.

Spiritual & Religious Care

The Chapel at the Brantford General is available on A Wing, Level 2 for patient and family use. The Chaplain, Rev. Wes Coburn, is available for daily spiritual support and pastoral service. Memorial services to support family and staff who have lost loved ones are also available. There are regular services held every Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Auditorium.

Transportation

  Brantford Transit has a stop just outside the main entrance to the Brantford General.

• Visitors Parking
  Parking is easily accessible and convenient. An unlimited-use monthly pass costs $40, a weekly "Frequent Visitor" pass is $20. Otherwise, it is $4 a visit.
