Current Initiatives

Feedback from staff, physicians and volunteers who attended the "I Care" customer service training, as well as nursing staff surveyed in the Practice Setting Consultation are the foundation of the QWL action plan. 

The following are items the committee is currently involved in:

• A variety of methods to spontaneously thank staff
• Regular Appreciation Breakfasts
• Increase options for Better access to food availability (24/7) for staff, volunteers, physicians and families of patients
• Sponsor motivational/educational presentations to foster "Balanced Lifestyles and Enhanced Customer Service"
• Increase opportunities for staff to give input into organizational factors that influence quality of worklife
• Plan social, recreational events that provide staff with work/family balance opportunities
• Expanded Corporate Program (ie. perks & discounts)
• Improved Hiring & Orientation processes to enhance retention (eg. scheduling flexibility)
