Facilities Planning Assistant
Temporary Full-time
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to the Director of Facilities Planning & Redevelopment
- Attends Logistics Team/Space Allocation Committee and other meetings and maintains all Issue and Action Logs, which includes follow-up on action items to ensure that all imposed timelines are met
- Composes and/or distributes, briefing reports, project status reports as required.
- Attends Project Team meetings and maintains all Issues and Action logs of all projects that are coordinated through FP&R. This includes follow up on all actions according to imposed timelines.
- Provides CAD drawings as required for planning purposes. Does updates as required
- Maintain and update the space allocation table for BCHS sites
- Review and make recommendations to update existing way finding signage
- Maintain and update building sign directories as needed
- Create and maintain small directional sheets to be used to direct patients to commonly sought areas
- Evaluate the nature and urgency of situations and either provide information, determine appropriate referral(s), or other appropriate person(s) interventions, and/or informs Director when situation warrants
- Compiles, generates, organizes and distributes supporting materials necessary to assist in meeting discussions.
- Performs administrative responsibilities to support FP&R functions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Community College Program in related field
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent proactive organizational skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Self motivated and adaptable to change
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated ability to problem solve and meet tight deadlines
Experience in facility/ space planning an asset
Healthcare background an asset
AutoCAD an asset
