Facilities Planning Assistant

Temporary Full-time

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reports to the Director of Facilities Planning & Redevelopment
  • Attends Logistics Team/Space Allocation Committee and other meetings and maintains all Issue and Action Logs, which includes follow-up on action items to ensure that all imposed timelines are met
  • Composes and/or distributes, briefing reports, project status reports as required.
  • Attends Project Team meetings and maintains all Issues and Action logs of all projects that are coordinated through FP&R. This includes follow up on all actions according to imposed timelines.
  • Provides CAD drawings as required for planning purposes. Does updates as required
  • Maintain and update the space allocation table for BCHS sites
  • Review and make recommendations to update existing way finding signage
  • Maintain and update building sign directories as needed
  • Create and maintain small directional sheets to be used to direct patients to commonly sought areas
  • Evaluate the nature and urgency of situations and either provide information, determine appropriate referral(s), or other appropriate person(s) interventions, and/or informs Director when situation warrants
  • Compiles, generates, organizes and distributes supporting materials necessary to assist in meeting discussions.
  • Performs administrative responsibilities to support FP&R functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Community College Program in related field

•  Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint

•  Excellent proactive organizational skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)

•  Self motivated and adaptable to change

•  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

•  Demonstrated ability to problem solve and meet tight deadlines

•  Experience in facility/ space planning an asset

•  Healthcare background an asset

•  AutoCAD an asset
