Lifeline Emergency help is on the way at the press of a button

Donna Hanley and her mother Patricia Brownlee are Lifeline subscribers. The way Hanley sees it Lifeline gives her peace of mind she needs when heading off to work every day. A Registered Practical Nurse, Hanley is the main support person for her mother, who has some health issues.

Balancing responsibilities can be tough sometimes, but it all became a lot easier when they became Lifeline subscribers a couple of months ago.

“Before we got Lifeline, I would be calling her all the time and I was always worried that something was going to happen when I was at work”. Hanley said. “I was worried about her having a fall or something and not getting the help she needed right away. Lifeline has given me peace of mind”.

It's a great service because it provides caregivers and people who use the system with a sense of security they need to remain in their homes longer, Hanley said. “I've taken some palliative care programs and I know that it's just so much better for people to remain at home instead of going into a facility or institution”, Hanley said. “This helps mom stay in her own home”.
